The Philippine Society of Quality in Healthcare (PSQua) conducted twin seminar/workshops in CLDH from September 27 to October 1, 2010. This is part of management's continuing program on quality improvement at CLDH.
The first seminar/workshop, held on September 27 to 29, was about Continuous Quality Improvement in the Hospital focusing on CQI methodology, which involves problem identification, understanding existing system, analysis of root causes, selection of best alternative solution, solution implementation, standardization and self-assessment/future plans.
The second seminar/workshop, held on September 30 and October 1, was about Policy Development in the Hospital. This features identification of policy making body; identification of policy issues, actors, stakeholders and their roles; policy and procedure writing; and implementation plan-GANTT chart.
The PSQua facilitators were Dr. Ritchie Costes, Mr. Edgar Edralin, Ms. Liza Topacio and Ms. Kathleen Millano.
